HORSES AVAILABLE
Tagaloa / Amicable colt
Melbourne Premier - $80,000 (85% Available)
Our one and only purchase in Melbourne was a colt by emerging young sire in Tagaloa who has had 70 runners for 2 Group winners and 10 Stakes horses. His progeny are training on as three year olds and showing they can win from sprinting trips right up to 2000m.
This colt has a strong pedigree behind him. I liked his strength and the way he walked - shaping up as a horse who will run at two but only get better. He was a very good style of horse and will have a few weeks off before being broken in up in Queensland. Click the photo to see a video of him in action.
Smokeshow
Gavelhouse - $18,000 NZD (SOLD)
Building the team with tried horses is important to get winners on the board and this horse was one that I was looking forward to purchasing off the NZ Online sale in Gavelhouse. The the Australian dollar so strong and lack of domestic interest in online sales compared to their Australian counterparts I think we bought this horse for good value despite an international plane trip.
Smokeshow has plenty of ability and comes to Qld as a Class 2 horse and a low enough benchmark rating that we can work our way through the grades. If we can extract the best out of him he is a genuine Saturday metro horse up here,
Hello Youmzain / Savalona colt
Lot 99 Karaka - $70,000 NZD (SOLD)
We came to Karaka to try and find an early type to get back to Queensland and hopefully qualify for the Karaka Millions in 2027. This race was won (again) by a Queensland trained horse in 2026 so the formula works. We liked this early type by Hello Youmzain - he walked really well but had the strength to show us he will get up and go early.
He will be on the next flight back to Queensland and no time will be wasted in breaking him in. Get in touch for more info!
Satono Aladdin / Winning Bid colt
Lot 230 Karaka - $40,000 NZD (SOLD)
There were plenty of lots by boom stallion Satono Aladdin who is achieving remarkable results off inferior crops. We were very lucky to pick up this horse for an absolute bargain - well muscled but scope to grow. For this price he was hard to say no to and we are very happy to have a colt by this sire in the stable.
He has sold very well and will now head directly to Queensland.
In The Congo / Career colt
Lot 1015 Magic Millions - $50,000 (SOLD)
This colt by In The Congo marks our first ever purchase for Todd Pollard Racing! Come and join us to race in this athletic yearling. This colt is a 3/4 to Stakes Placed ‘Release The Beans’. This is the first crop of the stallion making Gr. 1 Golden Rose - his yearlings have sold up to 625k and proved to be very popular. We have been lucky enough to pick this one up for an affordable price from the Book 2 sale and can’t wait for him to join the team.
Share prices involve purchase, scoping, vet costs, insurance, transport off the complex and a nomination for the extremely lucrative Magic Millions series.
In The Congo / Smash The Clock colt
Lot 1182 Magic Millions - $50,000 (SOLD)
In The Congo has impressed us as a sire and we found this colt to be a well balanced horse with good strength. He should be relatively precocious and comes from a good pedigree. His dam is a half-sister to 4x Hong Kong Gr. 1 winner in Beat The Clock. In The Congo himself won the stallion making Gr. 1 Golden Rose.
Share prices involve purchase, scoping, vet costs, insurance, transport off the complex and a nomination for the extremely lucrative Magic Millions series.
Ikasara
Lot 156 Inglis Digital - $16,000 (SOLD)
We have purchased well performed gelding Ikasara off Inglis Digital for $16,000. This represents good value to race a tried horse who will be at the races again within the next 6-8 weeks. This son of I Am Invincible looks ideally placed to come up to Brisbane as a Class 1 horse. He was Listed placed as a 3YO in the Heritage Stakes whilst also running 4th to Group 1 winner Switzerland in the Group 2 Roman Consul Stakes. This is a horse who gives us terrific value to get to the races quickly and aim low initially but have the chance to progress through the grades being a Class 1 horse.
